SCCA Track Night in America, Driven by Tire Rack is the fastest way for automotive enthusiasts to get on a race circuit. No previous on-track experience required. SCCA Track Night in America will visit nearly 20 facilities around the U.S. in 2015 from April through August. Events generally run from 4pm to 8pm on weekdays, leaving weekends free for other obligations. Generally, each specified race circuit will host one Track Night in America monthly during the spring and summer. Realizing that traditional road courses have always been a bit of a secret society, the SCCA created Track Night in America as a way to remove the mystery around such facilities. The University of New Haven has one of the finest comprehensive athletic programs in the Northeast Region, with a rich history and tradition of advancing to both conference and NCAA postseason tournament play. UNH has been a proud member of NCAA Division II since the early 1980's and continued the D-II tradition by joining the prestigious Northeast-10 Conference during the 2008-09 season. Charger student-athletes have represented the University of New Haven with class and dignity throughout the Department of Athletics' long history. UNH has produced Hall of Fame coaches and student-athletes that have gone on to professional careers as players, coaches and administrators. Chargers have earned All-America awards for their hard work on the playing fields and Academic All-America honors for their persistence in the classroom. Amherst College has the oldest athletics program in the nation, dating back to a compulsory physical fitness regimen that was put in place for all students in 1860. Today, over a third of the student body participates in varsity sports with eighty percent involved in intramural and club sports teams. The school has 27 intercollegiate sports teams. Amherst College student-athletes have successfully blended academics and athletics for decades. In addition to capturing 11 NCAA Division III team championships - including nine in the past nine years - and 76 NCAA individual titles, Amherst has earned 33 Academic All-America selections, including 19 since 2008. One of about 450 members of the NCAA's Division III, Amherst student-athletes compete for the love of the game. The college experience is a time of learning and growth a chance to follow passions and develop potential. For student-athletes in Division III, all of this happens most importantly in the classroom and through earning an academic degree. The Division III experience provides for passionate participation in a competitive athletic environment, where student-athletes push themselves to excellence and build upon their academic success. And student-athletes are encouraged to pursue the full spectrum of opportunities available during their time in college.
